RL Meet

Bit late this but I am going to pretend I was busy.

Picture it... Bristol 28th July. Me an 'er arrive at a small hotel in the middle of nowhere for a planned meetup with a couple of bods from our World of Warcraft days. JD we have known for a while, but we were also meeting Xenovieva for the first time.

Little did we know until JD insisted on sojorning to his room that Obatala would be hiding in the closet all the way from Dubai Cheer!

Cue much chatting, drinkage and general wittering for the rest of the day. Next day was Bristol Zoo. I would bore you with endless photo's but my camera decided it would 'system error' and format my SD card. Still, with the magic of the internet I bring you this fella...


So heres the funny story. We were stood by the Prarie dog enclosure and a chap not dissimilar to above was sat in the sunshine. I made a comment along the lines of "Look at that fat bastard!" to which he almost immediately jumped down from his perch, ran over to the side of the enclosure, under a metal fence and into a secret hole they had dug. Seconds later - he's out and coming round to stop not to far from me. Much hilarity ensued as we figured he was the 'donn' and calling him fat was going to get my leg chewed off. Oba duely nipped off to let the staff know the exhibits had escaped while a few more decided to come out for a look and a wander. Cue staff arriving shortly after to fill the hole with... Soil.

That'll be effective.

I now own a cuddly 'Fat Bastard' which has pride of place by the PC and will travel with me everywhere. Xeno picked up a few more cuddlies to go with her small country of squishies.

I Had a great time and hoping we can do it again soon!
